I looked at Obsidian also, but there were a few features I liked about Roam better.

I do a few things in Roam:

-Store highlights from articles I read (synced from Readwise). Tag those articles.

-Create articles for articles I'm working on. Rely on the tags to pull in ideas from articles I've written and articles I've read.

-Paste the text from fully completed articles I've written (since I usually write in GDocs or Medium directly) - into the same page in Roam where I had the outline. This helps with creating internal links for my own articles.
